Barry Gardiner has served as the MP for Brent North since 1997. He sits in the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee. Throughout his career, he has served as the Shadow Minister for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, the Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, and the Shadow Minister for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs.

Barry was previously Chair of the Nature APPG, which has been absorbed into the Environment APPG.
