Words from our members

"Given the urgency of the climate and nature crises we face, cross-party collaboration on tackling our most pressing environmental concerns is vital. The APPG Environment provides a great forum for championing the environment in parliament and policy making, and at the Woodland Trust we are grateful to be able to be involved as members"

- Dr Darren Moorcroft, CEO Woodland Trust

“Nature is in crisis, and the Environment APPG is one of the leading cross-party groups in Westminster advocating for action to tackle biodiversity loss and climate change. As a member, the RSPB value the great work of the APPG and the role they play for the environment sector across Parliament.”

Beccy Speight, Chief Executive Officer RSPB

The Environment APPG is a crucial bridge between parliament, business and civil society and a most valuable forum for networking and discussion, whether it’s organising away-days to renewable energy sites, ministerial briefings on climate policy or evening receptions. Solar Energy UK is proud to be a member.”

Chris Hewett, Chief Executive of Solar Energy UK

"The Environment APPG is one of the most dynamic and active groups of its kind and shows what can be achieved when an APPG has a clear focus, broad support – inside and outside of Parliament – and is properly resourced.

- Sarah McMonagle, Acting Director of Campaigns & Policy at CPRE

As we continue our fight to prevent extinction, the APPG for Environment provides a great forum to discuss solutions to the biodiversity crisis with policy makers and other environmental NGOs.”

Jamie Christon, Chief Executive Officer of Chester Zoo

“The APPG Environment is a great educational resource for us. With the series of presentations and member events it enables us to develop our understanding on this huge and complex topic. Understanding, sharing, and shaping best practice in this forum helps us to work with our members in the pet food industry to drive for a more sustainable future.”

Nicole Paley, Deputy Chief Executive at UK Pet Food

“We are in the midst of an Ocean Emergency. As a member of the Environment APPG the Marine Conservation Society highly values the cross-party engagement facilitated by the group. We recognise its invaluable role in ensuring that parliamentarians and environmental organisations have a range of opportunities to meet and discuss how we can deliver urgent improvements of our environment, both terrestrial and marine, together.”

- Sandy Luk, CEO Marine Conservation Society
