With the publishing of the OEP's second annual Progress Report, we are delighted to be joined for a webinar by Dame Glenys Stacey, Chair of the Office for Environment Protection. This will give the APPG an update on their 2025 Progress Report, set out her priorities for the Government’s rapid review of the Environmental Improvement Plan, and give members an opportunity to ask questions.

Established in 2021 through the Environment Act, the OEP is a public body whose mission is to protect and improve the environment by holding government and other public authorities to account. Each year, it assesses the government’s progress in delivering on Environment Act targets and the goals of the Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) of 2023.

Last year the OEP said the previous government needed to “speed up, scale up, and make sure its plans stack up”, with many key indicators still declining. This session will review the state of play and set out priorities for 2025, including the government’s rapid review of the EIP and how to get nature back on track for 2030.

This event is open to associate and parliamentary members. Email appg@green-alliance.org.uk to RSVP and for further details.
