Earlier this year, WWF, the National Trust and the RSPB launched The People's Assembly for Nature. Taking inspiration from the Climate Assembly undertaken in 2020, the Nature Assembly brought together 103 people from around the UK to listen to a wide range of evidence and case studies on the UK nature crisis. They then created a public vision for the future of nature and the actions we all need to take to protect and renew it.

On Tuesday 13th June, 3.30pm - 4.45pm, we have organised a roundtable discussion with participants of the assembly and nature experts on some of the key recommendations to come out of their report. This event is jointly organised by the Environment APPG and Peers for the Planet, alongside WWF, National Trust and RSPB. The event will be co-chaired by APPG Vice Chair, Caroline Lucas MP, and Chair of the Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee, Baroness Parminter.

It will be an opportunity for parliamentarians to hear directly from members of the public about nature and the policies they think should be implemented to restore our natural world. Parliamentary members of the APPG will receive an invitation.
