The Environment APPG developed this briefing to summarise the context and key priorities for COP27 by:

  1. Providing context to what the UK achived at COP26 and how the UK has updated and strengthened its NDC.
  2. Exploring the purpose of COP27 and the ways it could build on the progress of COP26.
  3. Outlining why the Prime Minister should attend the conference to showcase global leadership.
  4. Showcasing the general public's support for decisive action on climate and nature.
