The Environment APPG hosted an online panel discussion ahead of the Energy Bill's expected return to the Commons in March. The discussion involved contributions from experts in the environment and energy sector. The topics covered during the session included:
- The importance of a statutory net zero duty for Ofgem.
- The need to improve energy efficiency in the private rented sector.
- The significance of a low carbon and electrified energy system in reducing prices and emissions.
- The reasons why hydrogen levies should not be imposed on consumer bills.
