Climate and Nature Leadership Programme: Climate Science 101

MPs and peers meet with leading climate scientists to discuss the latest science, as the Environment APPG and Climate APPG kick off the Climate & Nature Leadership Programme
MPs, peers and scientists sit around a table

Against a backdrop of worsening climate impacts in the UK and across the globe, the lifetime of this parliament will be critical to ensure the UK is on track to meet its climate targets. At this critical moment, we were thrilled to be joined by Jim Skea, Chair of the IPCC, Grantham Imperial's Dr Friederike Otto, and Dr Emily Shuckburgh of Cambridge Zero.

This roundtable was an opportunity for MPs to meet with leading climate scientists, hear about the latest evidence on the causes and impacts of climate change, and discuss the UK’s progress in and responsibility for reducing global emissions.
