Alistair has been the Labour MP for Hitchin since October 2023 and champions bold action to fight the climate crisis and reverse the decline in nature. Before his election, Alistair worked on climate risk for the Bank of England. He was re-appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, following the 2024 general election.
